Institutes of Leisure along the Bosporus
 
Istanbulites, especially those in the middle class and lower-middle class, are trapped between their busy working lives, the hustle and bustle of public transport in the city and the responsibilities of home life. Therefore, having time for oneself, in other words, leisure time, is often perceived as a luxury. So, what can a mother who works both at home and at work, a factory or domestic worker, a pensioner, a student, a taxi driver does on a day when they can get out of their routine, in their leisure time, within their budget in Istanbul? What kind of opportunities are there for the middle and lower class in the city? Is spatial and material access to these opportunities possible?
 
So, let's think about the possible answers to this question through the power of architecture and urban design to organise public facilities, to provide a variety of activities and to improve them in various Bosporus districts of Istanbul, especially along the coast. LET US LEGITIMISE LEISURE TIME!
 
Let's legitimise it so that it becomes accessible to everyone, so that leisure time becomes democratised. In other words, let us settle free time with public spaces, let us institutionalise leisure time.
