GIRIH MOSQUE

During the research phase of the ‘Mosque Revisited’ studio, a taxonomy was developed for the geometric understanding of Girih ornaments used in Islamic art. Then, the developed methodology was used for spatial architectural design in the selected site in Abu Dhabi, taking into account the urban context.
