Farming Crane
- architecture
In the year 2040, amidst a world plagued by hunger, rotating crane farm fields, aided by robots, seem to offer a glimmer of hope to humanity. However, this technological marvel is cloaked within the heart of a dystopia. Humanity relies on vertical farming projects supported by the use of specific sun angles throughout the day, alongside intelligently designed aquaphonic systems, to feed a designated area. While these projects appear to offer hope, they, in fact, sever humanity’s connection to nature, confining people within a maze of metal and concrete. People, no longer witnessing the sunrise and sunset, lose their harmony with nature, spending their days under artificial lights under the watchful eye of robots. This dystopian order leads to humanity’s alienation from both its own kind and nature, bringing with it issues like environmental degradation and social inequality.
