The Project is a Community Center in Tomtom Neighborhood, Tophane, Istanbul. The aim is to create a public environment where both local people and tourists share, talk, and communicate. The design uses the potential of the old Istanbul Cumbas since the small spaces bring people together. A new concept of “CUMBOX “(CUMBA - BOX) is created. Each Cumbox has a specific program, and the majority are used as a modern Kıraathane.
