Aqua Revive Nexus

The challenge of ensuring food security within urban environments becomes increasingly pressing as evident in Istanbul, Turkey. In response to this challenge, we research and propose an innovative exploration into the concept of “Urban Farming”.
In our location Yenikapi the challenges were failure of maintaining a marine life, and sea pollution. After evident research, our main aim was to to revive and maintain the marine life within the coastal region. The difficulties were tackled by providing a well studied sustainable organic cycle through bioremediation systems that connect to ponic systems and provide filtered water that feeds our urban farming systems and become a source for renewable energy production. For that we have redesigned the coast to invite the public and raise awareness on the topic by providing a research center which enables a study of Urban Farming, Fish Farming and Water Filter systems that work together creating a cycle of lasting sustainability in Istanbul.
